Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Amadon collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data. Amadon is a third-party EVE Online marketplace application and is not affiliated with CCP hf.
1. Data We Collect
EVE Character Data (via EVE SSO and ESI)
When you sign in with EVE Online, CCP's Single Sign-On system provides us with:
- Your EVE character ID and character name
- A short-lived access token and refresh token to make authorised ESI requests on your behalf
Depending on the ESI scopes you authorise, we may also receive and store:
- Asset data — item types, quantities, and location IDs from your in-game assets, used to populate your seller inventory
- Contract data — details of your in-game item exchange contracts, used to validate and complete purchase orders
- Structure data — structure names and locations, used to display human-readable location names
- Corporation and alliance data — fetched from public ESI endpoints to display on your profile
- Portrait URL — your character's portrait image URL from CCP's image server
Account Activity Data
We store data generated through your use of Amadon, including:
- Orders placed, order status, and order history
- Seller listings, pricing, and inventory settings
- Contract validation results and snapshots
- Login timestamps
Discord Data (optional)
If you choose to link your Discord account, we store your Discord user ID and username to send you order notifications via direct message. Discord integration is entirely optional and can be disconnected at any time from your account page.
Technical Data
Standard web server logs may record IP addresses, browser type, and pages accessed. This data is used for security monitoring and is not linked to your EVE character profile for any other purpose.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use the data described above only for the following purposes:
- Authenticating your identity via EVE SSO
- Syncing your in-game inventory to populate your seller dashboard
- Matching buyer contracts to open orders and validating them against ESI data
- Displaying human-readable names for items, locations, corporations, and alliances
- Sending order-related notifications via EVE in-game mail and Discord DM (where authorised)
- Operating and improving the Amadon platform
- Detecting and preventing fraud or abuse
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the operation of the Amadon marketplace.
3. Legal Basis for Processing (EU / UK Users)
If you are located in the European Union or United Kingdom, our legal basis for processing your personal data is:
- Contract performance — processing necessary to provide the marketplace service you requested
- Legitimate interests — security monitoring, fraud prevention, and platform integrity
- Consent — Discord linking and any optional notifications you explicitly opt into
4. Third Parties
CCP hf. (EVE Online)
Authentication is handled by CCP's EVE SSO service. ESI data is retrieved from CCP's servers. CCP's own Privacy Policy governs data held by CCP. Amadon is not affiliated with CCP hf.
Discord
If you link Discord, notifications are sent via Discord's API. Discord's Privacy Policy governs data held by Discord.
Fuzzwork Enterprises
Amadon queries the Fuzzwork market price API (market.fuzzwork.co.uk) to display Jita market prices on the seller inventory page. Only item type IDs are sent in these requests — no personal data is transmitted.
No data sale
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party under any circumstances.
5. ESI Token Storage
Your EVE SSO access token and refresh token are stored encrypted in our database. Tokens are used solely to make authorised ESI requests on your behalf (inventory sync, contract polling). You can revoke this access at any time via your EVE Online account management page at secure.eveonline.com. Revocation does not delete your Amadon account data but will prevent further ESI requests until you re-authorise.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account and order data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter for audit, dispute resolution, and legal compliance purposes. ESI asset snapshots are retained only as long as operationally necessary. You may request deletion of your account data by contacting us (see Section 9).
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
- Erasure — request deletion of your data where there is no overriding legal basis to retain it
- Restriction — request that we limit processing of your data in certain circumstances
- Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Withdraw consent — withdraw consent for optional processing (e.g. Discord notifications) at any time
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 9. We will respond within 30 days.
If you are in the EU or UK and believe we have not handled your data lawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
8. Cookies and Local Storage
Amadon uses a session cookie to maintain your login state. No third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies are used. The session cookie is strictly necessary for the platform to function and does not require your consent under applicable law.

Please note that Amadon is an independent third-party application. For questions about data held by CCP hf. regarding your EVE Online account, contact CCP directly via support.eveonline.com.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes we will post a notice on the site. Continued use of Amadon after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
