FAQ

Buying on Amadon

What is Amadon?

Amadon is a player-run marketplace for EVE Online where approved sellers list items from their in-game inventory. You browse, add items to your cart, and complete the purchase through a standard EVE item exchange contract — no third-party escrow, no ISK sent to a website. Everything settles inside the game.

How do I buy something?

Browse the shop or search for an item, add it to your cart, and check out. You will receive a unique purchase code and step-by-step instructions for creating an item exchange contract in EVE Online. Once you submit the contract and the seller accepts it in-game, your order is marked complete.

What is the purchase code and why do I need it?

The purchase code is a short reference number (e.g. AMX-FSNGJK) that you paste into the Description field when creating your contract in EVE. It is how Amadon matches your contract to your order so the system can validate and confirm it automatically. Without the code in the description the contract cannot be matched and your order will not progress.

How long do I have to create the contract?

You have a set window (shown on your order page) to create the contract in EVE — typically a few hours. If the window expires before a matching contract is found, the reserved stock is released back to the marketplace and your order is cancelled. You can place a new order at any time.

What does "Contract Validated" mean?

After you create the contract in EVE, Amadon automatically checks that the ISK amount, the items requested, and the purchase code all match your order exactly. If everything is correct the order is marked Validated and the seller is notified to accept it in-game. You will receive an EVE mail confirmation.

What happens if my contract fails validation?

If the contract does not match — wrong ISK amount, wrong items, or missing purchase code — it will fail validation. The reserved stock is immediately released back to the marketplace and your order is closed. You may cancel the contract in EVE at your convenience and place a new order if you still want the items. A failure notification will be sent to you by EVE mail.

Where must I create the contract from?

You must open the contract window from the exact station or structure listed on your order page. This is where the seller's items are physically located. If you create the contract from a different location it will fail the item exchange setup in EVE and Amadon will not be able to match it.

How do I know when my order is complete?

Once the seller accepts the contract in-game, your order status changes to Completed and you will receive a confirmation by EVE mail. The items will be in your in-game assets at the station where the contract was created.

Can I cancel an order?

You can cancel an order while it is still in Awaiting Contract status. Once a matching contract has been found and validated, the order can no longer be cancelled through Amadon — you would need to delete the contract in EVE directly.

Selling on Amadon

How do I become a seller?

From your dashboard, submit a seller access request. An admin will review your application and approve or reject it. Once approved, the Seller section of your dashboard unlocks and you can begin syncing your inventory.

How does inventory sync work?

Click Sync ESI Inventory on your inventory dashboard. Amadon pulls your in-game assets via the EVE ESI API, matches them to known item types, and creates offer rows for each item it finds. You then set a price and quantity for each item you want to list.

Can I control how much of an item I list?

Yes. Each inventory row has a Set Qty field where you can enter a quantity lower than your total detected stock. Amadon will only show buyers up to the quantity you set. Reserved stock from pending orders is tracked separately and subtracted automatically.

What do the Jita prices on my inventory mean?

Each item row shows the current Jita 4-4 market prices: Buy (highest buy order), Split (midpoint between buy and sell), and Sell (lowest sell order). These are pulled live from the Jita market and cached for six hours. You can click any price to instantly fill it into the price field for that item.

How do I accept a contract from a buyer?

When a buyer's contract passes validation you will receive an EVE mail with the order details. Open your contracts in-game, find the item exchange contract from the buyer, verify the details match, and accept it. Amadon will automatically detect the acceptance and mark the order complete.
